Ure Dales Landscape Recovery Scheme — Ratification Form
The formal consent instrument by which a landowner ratifies the decisions taken at the 30 April 2026 Consortium workshop. This page is a preview — not a live form. The form itself is distributed after the workshop and returned by 14 May 2026.
The page below shows what Day 14 looks like — the six parts of the ratification form that will be circulated to each landowner after the 30 April workshop, to be returned by 14 May 2026. Nothing on this page is an active input. The form itself is distributed with the workshop follow-up pack.
Status: Draft (19 April 2026) — requires solicitor sign-off before distribution
Purpose: the formal consent instrument by which a landowner ratifies the decisions taken at the 30 April 2026 workshop
To be returned by: 14 May 2026 (14 days after the workshop)
Return to: the Consortium facilitator — [address] — or by signed PDF to [email]
How this form works
On 30 April 2026, the 18 landowners of the Ure Dales Consortium will meet with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to decide:
- The legal form of the Scheme Lead Entity (Options 1–4)
- The distribution model (Models A–E)
- The tier you are committing to enter at (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or “to be decided within 12 months”)
- Whether you wish to confirm your scheme participation
Consent expressed in the room on 30 April is provisional. It becomes formal on return of this signed form, by 14 May 2026 at the latest.
Silence is not consent. If this form is not returned by 14 May, the scheme treats your position as “not yet” — neither yes nor no. A later ratification remains possible, on reasonable request.
You may return this form with conditions. Conditional consent is a real and respected answer; it will be discussed with you before being finalised.
What this means for your holding
Part 1 — About you (to be completed)
Part 2 — Decisions to ratify
Please confirm, for each decision, whether you consent, do not consent, or wish to attach conditions.
2.1 — form
The Consortium’s decision on 30 April 2026 was: Option _____ — [chosen SLE form]
Options recap:
- Option 1: Charity-Led
- Option 2: YWT Wholly Owned Subsidiary (private limited)
- Option 3: ()
- Option 4: Subsidiary CIC (CIC sponsored by YWT)
2.2 — Surplus distribution model
The Consortium’s decision on 30 April 2026 was: Model _____ — [chosen distribution model]
Models recap:
- Model A: Retain surplus for reinvestment
- Model B: Equal distribution to producer members
- Model C: 40/60 producer profit share pro rata to contribution (often chosen)
- Model D: Community-benefit distribution
- Model E: Hybrid producer + community model
2.3 — Trustmark tier of entry
My chosen tier of entry to the trustmark is:
I understand that tier awards are confirmed by the Audit and Standards Committee at the end of Year 3 and every three years thereafter, based on delivery against the trustmark standards, and that my tier of entry is my declared starting ambition rather than a present award.
2.4 — Scheme participation — yes, no, or not yet
Taking the above decisions together, I wish to:
Part 3 — Conditions (optional)
If you wish to attach conditions to your consent — specific to your holding, your family circumstances, your tenancy, or your advisor feedback — please set them out here. Conditional consent is a real answer; it will be discussed with you and, where possible, accommodated.
Part 4 — Advisor acknowledgement (optional but recommended)
Part 5 — Declaration
I confirm that:
- I have had reasonable opportunity to read the scheme documentation circulated before 30 April 2026.
- I have had reasonable opportunity to consult my family and my advisors.
- I understand that scheme membership is a 20-year commitment (with exit available without penalty from the end of Year 3).
- I understand that scheme membership attaches to the holding, not to me personally, and that on transfer of the holding scheme membership transfers only with the new owner’s agreement.
- I understand that I may withdraw this ratification at any point before 14 May 2026 by written notice to the Consortium facilitator.
- I understand that the scheme’s detailed terms are set out in the governance document, the trustmark documentation, and the surplus distribution documentation circulated to me, and that this form ratifies consent to those terms as decided at the 30 April 2026 workshop.
Part 6 — What happens next
On receipt of this form:
- The Consortium facilitator will acknowledge receipt within 2 working days.
- Where the form is straightforward yes or straightforward no, it will be logged and filed; no further action unless you have questions.
- Where the form carries conditions or is “not yet”, the Consortium facilitator will arrange a conversation at your convenience to discuss.
- The Consortium will receive a consolidated report of ratification outcomes at the end of the 14-day period, protecting individual responses (no landowner’s position is shared without their consent).
- Scheme terms commence on: date of final ratification by the required threshold of Consortium members (as set out in the governance document Article 13).
If you have any questions before signing
Please contact the Consortium facilitator directly. No question will be counted against you. A question asked now is worth more than a regret held later.
